Billy Warren Stephendon

A Celebration of the Life of Billy Warren Stephenson “Mickey” Billy Stephenson will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Shepherd Street Christian Church, 803 Shepherd Street, Chickasha, Oklahoma. Dr. Stephen L. Wiley will be the officiating minister. Billy was the oldest child born on July 11, 1961, to the late Lloyd (Joe Louis) Stephenson and Charlotte Wiley Stephenson. Billy graduated from Chickasha High School in 1979 and soon after moved to Odgen, Utah with his Aunt Barbara, Uncle Wolfe and cousin, Sidney. He spent most of his life cooking and became a great Chef! Mickey loved his family and would always put a smile on your face. He did everything with honesty and integrity. He had very strong values and was well liked by everyone he met, mostly due to his positive energy. He had incredible patience, and always made time to help others. He would always say “My Family”. He had an amazing memory and told entertaining stories, sometimes with a hint of exaggeration. He loved cooking and prepared the best meals! He moved back to Oklahoma City in 2013 and was head Chef at Aja Bleu and other businesses in OKC. He reconnected with his high school love and moved back to his hometown of Chickasha, Oklahoma where he became the Director and Executive Chef of Dining Services at Town Village Retirement Community. He was deeply loved by his family, friends and coworkers. Billy “Mickey” departed his life on February 26, 2023 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 61. He was predeceased by Paternal and Maternal Great Grand Parents, Paternal Grand Parents, Paul and Izora Stephenson, Maternal Grandfathers, Clarence Wiley and Herman Davis, Maternal Grandmothers, Christine Wiley and Betty Austin-Davis, Father, Lloyd Stephenson, Mother, Charlotte Mitchell, Step-Father, Joseph Mitchell, Sister, Jaelynn Stephenson Dent and Brothers, Quinton Stephenson and Gerald Mitchell. Forever cherishing his memory are: Brothers, Lloyd “Joe” Stephenson, Oklahoma City, Ok., Timothy White, El Reno, OK., Dwayne Mitchell, Rex, GA. and Jeffrey Mitchell, Norcross, GA., Two sisters; Jackie Shokes, Johns Island, SC., Rhonda (Darrell) Ketchens, Awendaw, SC., Fiancée; Beulah Thompson and her Granddaughters, Gabriela, Navaeh and Emerson, Chickasha, Ok. Special Cousins; Paul Stephenson, Sidney Reeves and Donald “Petey” Austin. Host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins! The Family of Billy Warren Stephenson wishes to express our sincere appreciation for all acts of kindness during our bereavement.
