Frank Paritee Jr.

Frank Paritee Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 22, 1937. He was the third of six children born to Frank and Mary Paritee. Frank and his family lived in the Highland Park area of Detroit. Highland Park inspired his love for fashion and a great sense of style. He took pride in always being well-dressed and his unique style was that of his own! Frank graduated from Highland Park High School. After graduating, he entered the United States Air Force, where he served as a Communications Control Specialist. Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he went to work for the United States Postal Service in Detroit. Frank relocated to Chickasha, Oklahoma, in 1979, where he lived the remainder of his life. He worked for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority in highway maintenance for many years. He later tapped into the Oklahoma “oil boom industry” by working for Baroid Petroleum as a dispatcher. Frank attended Alladin Beauty School in Chickasha and worked as a barber in Norman, Oklahoma. He also worked for the Chickasha YMCA. Although Frank held other jobs, he continued to work for the family businesses, The Forget It Club and Brown-Christian Funeral Home. Frank loved spending time at home watching basketball, boxing, and his favorite, tennis. He often disagreed with the commentators on TV. He enjoyed explaining why he was right and they were wrong. He loved cars and spent a lot of time keeping his cars clean. He enjoyed listening to good music, especially Miles Davis, Marvin Gaye, and the various Motown artists. Frank loved his family dearly. Family always came first in his book. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Gwendolyn Paritee, and his brothers, Stacey and Steven Paritee. Cherishing his memory are his children: Courtney Paritee Ogles (Rondal) of Edmond, Oklahoma; Andrea Paritee, Jarrod Paritee, and Michael Paritee, all of Detroit, Michigan; his grandchildren: Jazmyn, LaMauri, Princeton, Kevon, Dallas, and Austin; his great-grandchildren: Kevon Jr. and Jagger; his sister Vera Willis; his brother Fredrick Paritee; Kathy Brown; Jacqueline Paritee; and a host of nephews, nieces, friends, and other relatives who will miss him.
