Richard White

Richard White, Sr. of Altus, Syndes, Oklahoma, passed away in the Southwest M. Hospital in Lawton, Okla, on Dec. 12, 2024. Richard was born to Mr. Claude and Verla (Bennitt) White of Pecan Cap, Paris Texas on March 25, 1937. Richard was the 3rd oldest of the 10 Children. Richard attended Lincoln School in Altus, Okla. He was the paper boy in Altus for many years. Later on he teamed up with “Leon Walls” going on Wheat Harvest driving semi-trucks. Richard enjoyed driving semi-trucks he made his career out doing so. He fathered 3 children, Hazel Tunnes, Mattie Tunnes, Vickie Tunnes all of Altus, Okla. He still cont. the career of Professional truck driving. Later on in his life he married “Bobbie Jo Brown” marriage of 7 years. To this union 3 children was born, Richard K. Stephen, Crystal White all of Oklahoma City. Richard cont. to drive for many Companies. There wasn’t a state or town he couldn’t find. He loved that highway! Richard drove for “CapShaw” trucking Co., Soild Trucking Co., many after that. He enjoyed his job. “He was the jack of all trades. He love to go fishing in the rain or shine.” He love his family to the max. He enjoyed family! Richard made his way back to Paris Tex. Till his mother became ill. He moved back to help take care of her. He love his family, he loved his children, he married Virgina Vickers of Altus, Okla., to this union 2 children was born Richard Grey, Veda Sista White of Altus, Okla. He helped fathered, 3 more children Gregory Vickers, Elbony Scallion, Juan Thomas all of Altus, Okla. He was the loving caring Father of all his children. He love to talk to them about the Lord, he loved his church family! Richard held down the place of a real father and husband till his death. Richard will be gratefully missed, but not forgotten. Richard leave to morn his legacy, Virgina White of the home; Hazel Scott (James), Mattie Tunnes of Dallas, Tex, Vickie Outlaw of Killeen of Tex., Richard K. White (Reke) Stephens Butler (Don), Crystal White (Deangelo) all of OKC, OK., Juan Thomas (Lisa), Richard T. White (Tyra), Gregory Vickers (Jodie), Eldroy Scallion, Keasheet White (Larry). 21 Grandkids, 7 Great Grandkids. Other family and friends.
