Barbara Ann Lewis

June 28, 1953 - April 2, 2022

Barbara was born in Kansas City Missouri, and raised in Spencer OK. Barbara accepted Christ at an early age attending St. Luke Baptist Church of Spencer OK. Barbara later started attending Divine Wisdom Worship Center and became a member where she served on Pastor’s Appreciation Committee, Kitchen Ministry, as well as Clothing/Food Pantry Ministry until her health began to decline. Barbara attended Green Pastures and Star Spencer High School, where she was a proud graduate of the Class of 1971. Barbara started working at the Boulevard Cafeteria in 1970 where she supervised over the culinary dept. leading while teaching the art and skills of culinary. Barbara later retired in 2008. Her life will be affectionately remembered by her daughter Keisha Lewis of Midwest City, OK.; stepson Joesph Milton of Midwest City, bonus son/son in-law Sylvester West Jr. of OKC, OK; siblings, Linda Jacobs of Midwest City, OK., Anthony Gordon of OKC, OK.; grandchildren, Martika Lewis, Paige Berryman, Sylvester West III Jamecia West all of Midwest City OK, Ryan Frazier of Los Angeles, CA,; great grandchildren, Jordyn, Paisley, Baby Gi-Gi, CaSandra McCane) (SIS) of Midwest City, OK. Barbara hobbies and special interest include; Being a devoted mother, family gatherings, garage sales, cooking and helping people with resources of all types, she could get on that phone and make some things happen. Barbara had a special interest in hosting all types of parties such as Tupperware, Home Interior, Tiara, Mary Kay and real Crystal parties collecting lots of winnings and bragging with the Gals (Sue, Patrice, Darnell, Angel, Jerry, Josalyn). Barbara took great pleasure in cooking and entertaining family and friends in her home. Barbara’s friends would refer to her as Mrs. Chancellor due to her style of poise and some even refer to her as shortcake because she was simply short and sweet. As Barbara health declined, she was later refer to as “Big Baby” because she was so spoil. Barbara’s grandchildren where the spark of her life but it was something about those great granddaughters that gave her endurance. Barbara Loved her family and was the matriarch to many. On Friday April 2, 2022 the Lord called her from assignment to restful reward. Barbara preceded in death; Queen Ola Beckner (maternal grandmother), Marie Worley (paternal grandmother); both parents George and Gladys Lewis; two sisters, Brenda Hubbard, Charlesetta Lewis; one neice Trinika Lewis/Jacobs; two nephews Corey Hubbard and Madison Carter
