Ella Mae Brownlee-Cook

Ella Mae Brownleee-Cook daughter of Rosetta Brown and Robert L. Brown was born March 7, 1947 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She graduated from Douglass School. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served as a dedicated member for over 60 years. She was a member and soloist in the choir. Ms.Cook worked for Head Start for over 30 years and her most recent employment was with Transportation for Lawton Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister, a niece and other close family and friends. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Charlotte Means (Lawton, Ok) and Monica Cook (Lawton, Ok), her grandchildren: Rosetta Jean (Lawton, Ok) and Octavia Cook (Lawton, Ok), her two nephews O’Neal Stephens (Lawton, Ok) and John Stephens (Lawton, Ok) and also two nieces Deborah Stephens (Texas) and Paula Packard (New York, NY), also a host of cousins, relatives and friends. “Here’s to a life spent bringing joy and laughter to others.
