Katherine Sue Dickson 67, was born January 15, 1955 to Jo Jean Johnson Thurman in Roswell, New Mexico. She was the second born of five siblings. She graduated in 1972 at Arnett High School and later furthered her education at Western Oklahoma State College earning an Associate’s Degree. She married Robert James Dickson in the 1990’s. Kathy worked at a day care center and the Hollis Head Start for over 45 years. She found joy in serving primary children and impacted many young lives. Kathy was a lover of music and served at the Calvary Community Church for over 26 years, where she was a very diligent Sunday school teacher. She was faithful and a good steward. She loved and enjoyed mingling with her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her mother Jo Jean Thurman, her step-father who raised her, Judge Thurman, her father, Herman Moore; one brother; Larry Johnson, one-half brother Albert David Moore, two half -sisters, Judy Lynn Moore, Peggie Lee Moore and several aunts and uncles. She leaves to cherish her memories: One son; Adam Johnson of Hollis, OK three daughters; Sheila Johnson, Michelle Johnson, and Laura Johnson all of Hollis, Ok. One brother; Thomas Johnson, three sisters; Jo Ann Campbell (Robert), Billie Watkins (Lonnie), and Linda Atkins all of Hollis, Oklahoma. Five grandchildren: Joshua Johnson of Norman, OK. Nyla Surman, Justyce Bentley, Kenya Surman, and La’Dayah Johnson all of Hollis, OK. Four stepchildren: Leonard Love, Albert Moore, Twanda Moore, Chere Moore, and Renee Moore. Two half-brothers Herman Moore, Herman White Both of Amarillo, TX. Seven half-sisters; Frankie Moore, Betty Moore, Lou Hellen Moore, May Moore, Merilyn Crawford, Ofelia Moore and Debra Reed. A host of Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, and cousins.
